Vaughn is a P.E. (professional engineer) and President of Prost Builders in Columbia and Jefferson City. Vaughn attended The University of Missouri for his Bachelor in Civil Engineering degree and Stanford University for his Masters in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. Paul Prost, Vaughn’s father, had the dream in 1949 to provide quality commercial construction to his clients. Paul’s brother, Jay Prost, joined the company soon after, and in 1990, Vaughn took over the dream of ensuring quality every day with his experienced staff and professional craftsmen. Vaughn holds the following professional licenses and certifications:
- Registered Professional Engineer, State of Missouri
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer, State of California
- Missouri Society of Professional Engineers
- Engineering record certified by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering & Surveying
What Legacy, Pride and Excellence Mean to Me:
Legacy: The Prost family has been involved in constructing for eight generations, going back to France. My grandfather had four brothers in the construction industry. My father and uncle started Prost Builders Inc (Paul R. Prost Builders) in 1949 in Jefferson City. As the eighth generation of Prost family builders. I am very proud to carry on that tradition.
