Prost Builders became involved in this project for a 55 and older resident complex before the design was completed to provide Guaranteed Maximum Pricing and Value Engineering suggestions. This early involvement allowed Prost Builders to change orders other than the scope of work changes initiated by the owner. Each one-bedroom apartment has phone jacks, cable TV wiring, an emergency pull cord, a ceiling fan in each bedroom, and a kitchen with a microwave oven, electric stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The building has laundry facilities and community activity rooms for residents on each floor and a computer room with free internet access for all residents. There are also several wheelchair-accessible apartments.

This apartment complex was constructed by Prost Builders for the Jefferson City Housing Authority in 2001 and provided affordable housing for its residents. The Housing Authority was very pleased with the final product by Prost Builders as the General Contractor for this 45-unit complex, because the Prost team had extensive experience with MHDC developments and the proposal process. “Prost was the consummate team player on this project, and this helped make everything run smoothly. State Technical College in Linn needed more housing for students, so Prost Builders constructed 6 new, outstanding student apartment buildings to address that need. These fully furnished apartments have 4 bedrooms that include a full bath and walk-in closet for each student and a full kitchen and laundry room. The apartments offer code compliance, Wi-Fi, a backup generator, a keyless entry system, a lighted outdoor pavilion for picnics and barbecues, soundproofed walls and ceilings, smoke and fire detectors, and sprinkler systems. The Eagle’s Nest I complex is located at 1015 E Main Street and Eagle’s Nest II is located at 1022 E. Benton Street.
