This project consists of an 83,100 square foot distribution center and warehouse. The purpose of this building is the intermodal movement of cargo rail to truck and truck to rail. The facility is serviced by the City of Columbia’s COLT and Norfolk & Southern railroads. The railroad track goes through the building and is used to unload 20 tons of steel coils via a 30-ton overhead traveling crane, with a storage area specifically designed to handle the steel coils. A large lay down and storage yard on 15 acres surrounds the facility. Show Me Transportation is currently leasing the building.

This facility is the home of Everlast Fitness Manufacturing. The pre-engineered metal building encompasses almost eight acres under one roof and this Design-Build Project took only one year. The client added several improvements to the project and Prost Builders was still able to come in under budget. “Although I added several improvements to the project, I was very proud of that since this was my first construction project. Steve (of Prost Builders) helped me a lot to stay within that budget with his advice on how to fulfill my requirements. Selecting Prost Builders to construct our manufacturing facility was the smartest decision.”
