The History of Prost Builders
EIGHT GENERATIONS working in construction — that is Prost Builders’ family DNA. Design and construction of buildings have been a Prost family tradition starting in Europe (the sixth generation had five brothers involved in the building industry). This extensive background in construction led Paul Prost to open Paul Prost Builder for business in 1949. His brother, Jay, joined him soon after in his dream of building an outstanding construction firm.
We resolved to bring our clients a standard of quality and dependability unparalleled in our industry. Our greatest resource in the relentless pursuit of this goal is the experience and professionalism of our employees. Prost Builders is organized to provide our employee-owners with a stimulating, stable, and rewarding work environment. Prost attracts, trains, and retains employees to be leaders in providing professional construction services to our clients.
In 1993, Paul and Jay passed their dream on to Paul’s son, Vaughn. Vaughn started learning the construction trade at 12 years of age. As a registered professional engineer, Vaughn oversees pre-construction as well as construction activities. The firm’s key team members have experience in a wide range of domestic and international construction work. We are proud of our 75+ year legacy of quality projects completed for our clients throughout Missouri and beyond. Today, Prost Builders operates as a successful employee-owned company.
We’d love to introduce ourselves, and talk to you about your next construction project! Please contact us.
