We are looking to hire an entrepreneurial and detail-orientated, professional Construction Estimator & Quantity Surveyor to add to our growing, dynamic, professional team.
Construction Estimator & Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
- Soliciting subcontractor/supplier quotations and evaluating the quotations.
- Performing detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing self-perform work in accordance with company pricing guidelines.
- Prepare preconstruction RFI (Request for Information) documents for a design consultant.
- If successful with the bid, lead the buy-out/procurement process.
- Prepare Project Schedules, as needed.
- Prepare Cost Codes/Schedule of Values.
- Assist Project Manager and Superintendent at project start-up.
- Assist quantity takeoff pricing of change order work, as needed.
- Thorough and accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for all trades.
- Develop strategies to win a sufficient number of bids.
Position Requirements
- Two to five years of experience in quantity takeoffs, estimating, and bid soliciting OR five years of experience in managing a variety of commercial and institutional projects and change management.
- Construction Management/Technology degree preferred.
- Construction field experience preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of RS Means and its applicability.

Salary
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications (annual salary range $65,000–$100,000).
