Construction Assistant Project Manager

Prost Builders Inc. is a successful, large, growing general commercial construction contractor, servicing Missouri clients for over 75 years. We are looking to hire an Assistant Project Manager to help out on multi-million dollar projects in support of our professional project management team that is client-focused.

Job Description

Assist the Project Manager on large projects in the management and administration of all or any of the following activities:

  • Project start-up procedures in transition from preconstruction services to the field.
  • Performing detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing self-perform work in accordance with company pricing guidelines to assist preconstruction services and serve project change order management responsibilities.
  • Submittals, RFIs, change request processes.
  • Project schedule development, tracking, updating and implementing.
  • Coordination of submittals, RFI’s and change requests.
  • Field reviews through field reports, investigative discoveries, and subcontractor relations.
  • Work closely between the Preconstruction Manager and Project Coordinators.
  • Managing projects to successful completion on time, under budget, and other safety incidents.
  • Managing budgetary requirements of the project.

Position Requirements

  • Five years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Construction Management/Technology degree preferred.
  • Computer and technologically savvy.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to be successful with the willingness to learn.
  • Estimating, pricing, accounting, and successful project completion experience.

Salary

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications (annual salary range $65,000–$90,000).
