Prost Builders built the new cathedral and undercroft in 1970 for the Diocese of Jefferson City. This uniquely designed cathedral has proven it can stand the test of time both architecturally and in the quality of our construction. The main floor serves as the cathedral with seating for 1,000 parishioners at the time of construction and the lower floor is a full-service undercroft that includes bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large dining room.

Prost Builders was the General Contractor for the construction of a multipurpose building in 1978 for the parishioners to utilize as a space for church activities and as a temporary church until a new one could be built. In 2002, Prost Builders broke ground to construct the new chapel and entryway that would connect to the multipurpose building by a long corridor and add an additional 20,000 square feet to the campus. The large, arched windows provided a huge amount of natural light from the back and front of the building.

This addition included a new sanctuary, educational classrooms, recreational facilities, childcare rooms, a kitchen, and a spacious reception area. The original sanctuary was converted into a music and theater room. The design for this facility called for an innovative approach to integrating the many needs of the congregation into one truly multi-purpose facility. This was achieved by our on-staff architects and engineers working in cooperation with the building committee as a team, to accurately assess their needs and provide for it in the building plans.
