The growing Columbia Public School District needed additional classroom space, renovation of the existing school structure and a FEMA-rated storm shelter at Rock Bridge Elementary School. The new 16,500 square foot addition is FEMA-rated with brick/concrete walls and a steel/concrete roof structure, as well as the windows and doors. The existing school building also received a renovation, including a new required fire sprinkler system. The project was fast-tracked through the winter, thus completing the projects 217 days ahead of schedule.
