The new cathedral and undercroft were built in 1970 for the Diocese of Jefferson City. This uniquely designed cathedral has proved to stand the test of time both architecturally and in the quality of construction. The main floor serves as the cathedral with seating for 1,000 members. The lower floor is a full-service undercroft including bathrooms, kitchen and large dining room.
