Prost Builders recently completed the Missouri National Guard’s new Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) Readiness Center in Springfield, Missouri. This new, two-story facility was designed for training, administrative, logistics, storage, and arms vaults required to achieve proficient training for members of the 1107th TASMG. The extensive glazing provides ample daylighting throughout the 43,000-square-foot structure. The project site was challenging due to the size of the facility and the limited site. The adjacent Aviation Classification and Repair Depot (AVCRAD) was also at full operation during construction. Our team was able to safely control the site and maximize the owner’s ability to use the surrounding facilities throughout construction. This was achieved by close and open communication with the owner and our on-site personnel. Kevin Fahy was the project manager and Ken Warner served as superintendent on this $10 million project.
New Athletic Facility For Capital City High School
The Capital City High School’s new football and soccer stadium is now complete. This state-of-the-art high school athletic facility features locker rooms and wrestling facilities and will serve the students at Capital City High School for many years. Prost is proud to have been the concrete contractor for this beautiful facility. The concrete superstructure is similar to the Mizzou Memorial Stadium seating addition Prost Builders completed in the 60s. Superintendent Matt Schaffer and Project Manager Kevin Fahy guided this massive and challenging concrete project to completion.
Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital Expansion and Upgrade
Prost Builders is proud to serve as a subcontractor for Pro Construction Services, a Service Disabled Veteran Enterprise, on this important project in Columbia, Missouri. The unique challenge to this project was building a weather-tight enclosure around the entire warehouse. Our crews removed and raised the roof to accommodate a new mezzanine for expanded storage space inside the original warehouse footprint. Rich Northeimer, Owner and President of Pro Construction Services, is the project manager. He and Superintendent Steve Jurgensmeyer are up to the challenge to complete the project this July.
