Vaughn is a P.E. (Professional Engineer) and President of PROST BUILDERS in Columbia and Jefferson City. Paul Prost, Vaughn’s father, had the dream in 1949 to provide quality commercial construction to his clients. Jay Prost also joined the company and in 1990, Vaughn Prost took over the dream to ensure quality every day with his experienced staff.

Drew joined in 2017 and is Corporate Vice President, who mentors and oversees project operations and assists the estimating department. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Missouri State University and has been renovating and building since he was a teen. Drew’s extensive knowledge of construction helped him win awards from NAHB (National Home Builders Association) and ASC (Associated Schools of Construction) during college.
Cristina joined Prost Builders in 2023, bringing more than 18 years of experience in the A/E/C (Architect/Engineering/Construction) industry. Starting her career in a Kansas City based engineering firm, Cristina has experience working with clients in commercial, transportation, public, Federal, telecommunications and industrial markets. Since moving back to central Missouri in 2015 to be closer to family, Cristina has been focused on construction rather than design. She enjoys doing projects around her 1928 bungalow, antique shopping and reading.
Kale joined in February of 2022 with engineering experience from MU and is our Project Manager and Estimator. He earned state level Mechanical and Architectural Drafting competition awards, as well as a National drafting competition award, before attending engineering classes at MU. Kale’s interest in construction goes back to high school, and has continued with his renovating multiple homes and building his own ‘barndominium’.
Debra is no stranger to construction since her father was in the business, too. She even helped her father and brother build her own barn and garage-including the footings and concrete pour. She is highly skilled in many areas, such as A+ classes, IT training; positions as Office Manager, Senior Project Accountant, Controller, and Corporate Secretary throughout her career. Debra joined Prost Builders in 2017 and instrumental in changing the bid process to keep current at all times, while updating and maintaining it.
With Debra’s 40+ years of construction experience ranging from Nuclear, Residential, Government, and Solar-she is an invaluable source for the Estimating Department, as well as the Project Management staff at Prost Builders.
Jason is a Columbia, MO native and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. At the age of 6, Jason started working for his father picking up construction waste and learning other worksite skills. He has been involved with the Pre-engineered metal buildings for over 40 years and served in the United State Marine Corps for 6 years from 1992-1998. After he served, Jason ran his own construction company for the next 20 years before transitioning into project management with Prost Builders in 2021. He has a strong commitment to quality, safety, and timelines at work, but enjoys riding his motorcycle and traveling in his schedule.
Molly began the road to construction at a very young age. This was largely due to the influence of her father, who is a carpenter. When it came time to pick a major following her graduation from high school, construction seemed like the right move. Molly graduated from the Construction Science and Management program at Kansas State University in May of 2021. We look forward to seeing Molly set, meet, and exceed her career goals in the industry.
Virginia joined Prost Builders in early 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration from Columbia College in Columbia, MO. She creates and maintains company marketing materials, in addition to seeking new design-build and private owner build projects. She is actively involved in the community, is a member of several Chambers of Commerce, a member of various committees, as well as a member of REDI, SBCED, ACA Business Club, Rotary West in Jefferson City, and NAWIC (National Association of Women In Construction) Chapter 341. Virginia enjoys meeting new people as Public Outreach Manager and promoting solar for MoSolarApps (Missouri Solar Applications), which has been in business since 2008.
Ashley grew up in Fulton, Mo and obtained her degree in Accounting and Finance. She has worked in the accounting field for the State of Missouri since 2018. Ashley decided to come to Prost Builders and learn the private business side of accounting. She enjoys reading and going on rides in their side by side vehicle on trails in her spare time with her husband and children.
Rob joined Prost builders in early 2023, bringing with him over ten years of office management and business development experience. A Jefferson City native, when Rob returned to the Mid-Missouri area, he was attracted to Prost Builders because of the many impressive projects they had completed in his community. A Truman State graduate, Rob holds two degrees; Psychology and Political Science. Prior to joining the Prost Team, Rob owned and operated a Business Development company as well as a Virtual Reality company specializing in Architectural Visualization. Rob spends his spare time working on small projects and spending time with friends and family.
Rich joined in 2015 and is our Property Manager who oversees, maintains, and manages all leased property owned by PROST BUILDERS. He also assists our Missouri Solar Applications division in the installation of solar arrays.
Michael joined Prost Builders in 2023 as a Superintendent. He was raised in the St. Louis area in a large family of Union Carpenters. He spent 22 years in Western Colorado running a variety of diverse projects ranging from mining reclamations, municipal remodels, high-end residential construction, and historical restoration. In 2022, Michael returned to Central Missouri to be closer to family and spends his free time training bird dogs, ‘jeeping’, kayaking and jet boating the local rivers in the state. His experience with the wide range of construction projects, plus historical restoration, will be a great addition to our highly skilled team at Prost Builders.
